Pillars of Being a Disciple-Maker

Humility & Faithfulness

The marks of Christ’s messenger must be a genuinely humble heart and faithfulness to Him in all things. When we are most desperate for Christ, we are most effective for others. This is what we aim to prayerfully cultivate through our intensive, three-tiered discipleship.

Local Church Priority

The centrality of the local church is the means Scripture ordains for gospel advance and disciple-strengthening. That’s true of sending churches and churches that missionaries strive to plant. As a servant of the local church, this is what we emphasize in our academics, practical methodology and cross-cultural exposure.

Biblical Authority & Deep Doctrine

Cross-cultural ambassadors for Christ need deep theological roots to best glorify God, maintain gospel clarity and resist compromise and syncretism. This is what we uphold: the Bible is worth our devotion and is the sufficient and authoritative guide in all our efforts.

You, your church and Whitefield Global –

let’s work together

Why Choose whitefield?

A Masters in Missiology

Designed for graduate-level studies, Whitefield’s 3-year training program is aimed at building up long-term missionaries with passion for the lost and sound biblical readiness for Christ-honoring ecclesiology overseas. Whether God is calling the student to help reach the unreached or to strengthen existing churches in support roles or teaching roles, working from the same “playbook” as his or her co-workers is vital. The Masters of Arts in Missiology program may be the well-rounded equipping you have been looking for.

Undergraduate Studies
For students who have not completed their undergraduate degree, a certain percentage of students will be admitted under a Certificate of Missiology Program that will be retroactively upgraded to Masters of Arts upon bachelor’s completion.

Intensive Personal Discipleship

Well before a church exports a servant internationally (or locally), it is responsible to teach, disciple and equip him or her toward maturity. It could be argued that every missionary ought to be ordained before boarding a plane. While ordination may not always be a feasible option, the principle of proper testing and readiness applies to all. Way beyond knowledge, that preparation process starts and finishes with holiness, character and humility. WGC Disciplers go deep and personal with each student in close conjunction with and as a help to an elder or leader of their sending church.

It’s Akin to Seminary and Field-Training in One for Missionaries

Over the course of 67 credit hours, WGC students will be more than challenged. They will get immersed in thorough systematic theology, Bible, evangelism, biblical counseling, original languages, spiritual disciplines and layers of help with interpersonal conflict and submission issues. And the program goes beyond academics–students will spend 36 weeks as part of their time living in cross-cultural settings. Their readiness includes specific instruction in visa management, leadership, administrative concerns and cultural and language adaptation. The preparation is far-reaching and unrushed.

A Commitment to Affordability

Nobody wants a missionary to have financial debt. So, Whitefield trusts the Lord to provide to allow students to learn, at low costs, from gifted and faithful professors and active, godly missionaries. We think of WGC as a small but power-packed program that is enabled by God and served by faithful volunteers and donors. A top priority of the WGC Board of Regents is doing everything they can to keep student costs as low as possible. And donors to Whitefield are a primary means of helping them keep that commitment.

NONDISCRIMINATION POLICY

In compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Educational Amendment of 1972 and with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Whitefield Global College does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, sex, or physical handicap in any of its practices or procedures.
